As I walked, I was surrounded by breathtaking views of the lush green valleys and dry stone walls that characterize the Cotswolds. The hedgerows were alive with autumn colors, with the leaves starting to turn shades of gold and crimson. I spotted several traditional Cotswold stone cottages, each one exuding a unique charm and history.
Along the way, I met a friendly local named Margaret, who was tending to her lovely garden filled with dahlias and lavender. We chatted about the village's history, and she told me about the historic Painswick Rococo Garden, which dates back to the 18th century. She recommended I visit it, as it’s a fine example of the romantic landscape that was popular in that era.
