On Saturday afternoon, the first official Cuban women's boxing poster was successfully completed at the Giraldo Córdova Cardín High Performance Athletes Training College in Havana.

For his part, Rolando Acebal, main trainer of the Tamers of Cuba, commented that “we have lived a historical moment. The girls showed that there is material to work with and make a good team for San Salvador 2023 and for the Pan American Games in Santiago 2023.”
Several of the boxers come from sports such as wrestling, athletics and taekwondo, and they know about sports preparation in high performance.
The head of women's boxing coaches, Santiago Suárez, said that the boxers will train in the same facility as the juveniles.
The poster established that there would be three rounds per fight, with one minute of rest interspersed.
The Pan American wrestling runner-up Yakelin Estornell had an outstanding performance in the last fight of the cartel.
“I want to be a champion in boxing. That's what I'll prepare for. I'm going with everything”" said athlete from Guantánamo, the province with the most representation in the 12 preselection.
