Greetings, fellow Saturday cycles and other knights of the Holy Weekend!
I am not sure if I would still have done this was it not the only day available up until the end of the month where I could actually fo to the village garden and take care of irrigation. And I had a bicycle only as a means of transportation this week. Well, actually, my father did offer to drive me there and pick me up later but that wouldn't have been the true knight of the Holy Weekend way.
So I cycled up the long and steep hill south of town and into the dusty countryside. The sun was pretty high already and burning the skins of the infidels. And mine.
It took me an hour and ten minutes to get there. Across two major hills and far away.
It was already quite hot. I tried working in those conditions as best I could and I did deliver water to many biological systems...A.K.A. plants. I care about my twenty or so little trees the most.
But I had other poor souls to quench the thirst of as well.
Traps laid by my brother. Well hidden in the torn vegetation that washed over our yard during the June rains and after.
Some small consolation prize.
Six hours later I felt I was still at the beginning but at least I knows some plants had their share of the well water, The tanks were full at the end...well, about a hundred litters, no more but an ea as you start for our next visit.
And I had to hit the road again.
Uncovering the camouflaged vehicle first.
Tired as I was. The return trip took longer and I could not do it without touching the ground like I did in the morning.
But st least I took some more photos.
Time to relax now, isn't it?
