It really is a great garden. It is here on the Hospital grounds and they harvest once a week and give produce to patients in need.
Pretty soon, it will freeze and then, it is over until next year :)

What a great initiative. I wish they did it over here. It freezes that early with you?
We can still grow and there are veggies dealing well with the cold. I will try to save my pepper plants till next year.
At the moment I try salad, beets, sugar naps, onions and within a month the garlic. The harvest was't great this year but I do have a huge bag with walnuts and some almonds. 🙂

In San Diego, we grow year round. But here, we are at about 2000 meter elevation and it is a high desert climate. This morning was almost 0 celsius and next week , it is supposed to go below freezing. If I were here longer, I would put a coldframe or a small greenhouse. But I would freak out my husband if I get too ambitious. But I brought an indoor garden tower and am in the process of setting that up with grow lights and such...
