After a afternoon of walking I was able to bring in a good amount of steps. 🥾
I walked by what I want to say is a Snowy Egret (Egretta Thula). There are also Great/Common Egrets in the area, but the size and beak color makes me want to ID it as a Snowy Egret.
Here is a pdf with info on the Snowy Egret and a link to some local Great Egrets and White Pelicans if you would like to decide for yourself.

The close up photos are from zooming in with my phone while standing at the same spot as the others. As you can see from top right photo that I am not very close and did not want to disturb. The Snowy Egret and the Great Egret are not threatened animal species but there still isn't and good reason to pester it. This river usually has many birds hunting and wading but this spot doesn't get too many. I assume due to the freeway running over this spot.
