Yesterday I had a healthy breakfast of oatmeal, bananas, and yogurt. I love oatmeal for breakfast because it is filling but not heavy, and it’s a good source of fiber. Bananas are also a great source of potassium and vitamin C, which are both important for keeping blood pressure in check. Yogurt is a great way to get the calcium that we need for strong bones and teeth.
Over the past few days, I have been researching current marine conservation issues. While there are many different topics to cover, yesterday I wanted to focus on some of the more pressing concerns that scientists and conservationists are currently working on.
One issue that is particularly concerning is ocean acidification. This decrease has serious implications for marine life, as it makes it harder for organisms to form shells or skeletons and can cause coral reefs to die off.
Another major concern is overfishing. Over harvesting fish can have devastating consequences for both ecosystems and human populations, as it depletes fish stocks and reduces food availability for other animals. To address this issue, many countries are investing in aquaculture - which is the production of fish in an aquatic environment - as a way to provide sustainable seafood options.
I had a delicious healthy lunch that I enjoyed immensely! I decided to have roasted asparagus and avocado on whole wheat toast with light mayonnaise. After my delicious meal, I decided to do some basic working out at home. I started with a 20 minute cardio session on the treadmill and then followed it up with a 30 minute weights workout.
I am so happy with how my healthy lunch and basic working out yesterday went! I feel great and my body is thanking me for it! By incorporating some healthy foods into my diet and doing some basic exercise at home, I have been able to maintain a healthy weight and improve my overall health.
I had a great dinner last night. I prepared a pork loin with a cranberry sauce, and mashed potatoes. I also had a green salad with balsamic vinaigrette. Everything was very tasty!
I spent last night out walking around the mall after dinner. It was a nice way to wind down after a busy day. I ended up watching a movie before bed. It was a fun way to end the night.
