Hi Everyone,
It has been almost two weeks since I posted. I haven't taken time away from my content, I just have chosen not to post it yet. I'm currently putting together a series of posts relating to 'The Great Reset'. There is a lot of information available about this proposal. At the moment, I am obtaining this information from the World Economic Forum website. I am focusing on the initial proposal described in the book 'Covid-19: The Great Reset'. It's a short book of only 100+ pages and it's available for free download from the World Economic Forum website.
My initial thoughts on the Great Reset
From what I have read so far, I am quite concerned about the proposal. Many of the problems described in the book are real but they framed in such a way to fit their desired solutions. For example, problems relating to Covid-19 have been described to be caused because of a lack of action by Government. Therefore, more action should be required. In reality, it has not been a lack of action but incorrect and exaggerated actions that have caused the most problems. However, this description of the problem does not meet the proposed argument for more Government intervention.
Some sections of the book draw rather odd conclusions. For example, climate change. The authors state that because climate change is a global problem, the response to it must be a global one. What the authors fail to mention is that climate change affects every country differently. It poses different threats and opportunities to each country. Therefore, a national or local response is far more appropriate.
These are just some of my observations so far. I will climb into much more detail in my up coming posts.
Activity Update
This is an activity report, so I'll finish up with a quick update of the physical activity I have been up to yesterday and over the past week. Lockdowns are back and here to stay for now. It is also winter, which hinders getting out and about. I have managed to keep reasonably active. This time round I have visited the lake far more frequently than I did in lockdown 1. The nearby lake has just enough space to avoid any crowds. It has become busier as people have fewer places to visit. There is definitely less concern than last year as we know much more about Covid-19 than we did before.
That wraps up this Actifit Report and Update. It was good to make contact after a short absence. I wish everyone a really good upcoming weekend. Remember to stay active as well as informed.

It's refreshing to see there remain at least some people in this world who are able to perform critical analysis of reports and not afraid to present that opinion to the general public.
