My legs were feeling the effects of my harder trail work yesterday and I didn't get out for some easier local road miles until mid afternoon. But, it was Lulu's 8th birthday so she enjoyed a special Waygu beef breakfast before we went out for a couple of miles walking up at Granite Basin.
She has been my best little girl for 7 years now and was always devoted to her now passed sister Bella.
The sky was overcast with low gray clouds and a strong cold wind made the run uncomfortable but I was content to just run easy miles and hoped that I would get in more than 2 or 3 as I was tired. Fortunately I perked up after a flat mile and managed to run just about 10km.
Not the greatest but I'm now just 3 weeks away from the Jackpot 100 miler near Las Vegas so I simply need to maintain a good diet and concentrate on the upcoming ultra.
