Live in the Moment |

Bangladesh is full of emotions, traditions and life. Living in the moment is closely related to our living. Natural beauty, kind hearted people and the simplicity of life in our country is full of. But we are so preoccupied with obsessively worrying about the future and regretting the past. That's why we miss out on all the awesome stuff of the present.
Since I grew up in the village, I’ll begin with village life. After school as a child I'd go to play in the fields. The sky always seemed so blue, and there was a special joy to envelop ourselves in the pond’s waters. The real happiness of life seems to be running through the rice fields, getting wet in the rain, or picking raw mangoes from the tree. We didn't know this was the best time then.
Live in the Present |

We can still find joy in city life,Though city life is totally different from village life. There isn’t much freetime in our busy life. Traffic shopping, work trip, working days, sometimes it seems we run from life. Even in this busy life there are great chances to enjoy the moment, but if we look closely. The beautiful moments of life are getting wet on the roof in the rain, or sitting at a tea shop with friends, or picking up a favourite book from a book fair.
Bangladeshi festivals are the time for living in the moment. Moments like Pohela Boishakh, visiting and sitting everyone’s house after Eid snacks or walking around Durga Puja pandals just with friends, every such moment truly shows the colours of life. I feel the culture that we have encourages us to not worry about what the future will bring, but to take pleasure in the present.
To this day, I can remember an event in my life that I still feel the vibe. It was a day and we had just returned from the village mango orchard and it suddenly began to rain. All were fleeing for cover. I figured then it was good a time to experience wetness. I’m still happy when I think about it because it gave me such a sense of freedom. That taught me that we don’t need to keep running forever and we need to take time to enjoy the little things.
I believe 'living in the moment' is to make every day a new beginning. Thinking about the future is important. We will lose the actual journey of life, if we do not live in the present . In short, life is meaningful from the light, breeze, laughter of people, beauty of nature.

So, let’s slow down a little. To enjoy small things in our life, let’s spend a few minutes. Perhaps a simple thing of drinking tea on the roof will one day be our most precious memory of our lives.
