When I come across this statement “You don’t stop moving because you get older, you get older because you stop moving". I get the feeling that the writer is speaking the truth. Many a person tends to believe that aging simply implies a time to relax and slow down. I know from my own experience, though, that staying active is keeping connected to life.
One day a friend of mine asked me: You do so many things, don’t you get tired?. I just smiled and replied, “No, I actually get tired when I don’t have to do anything.” Being active is not only about physical work, but about keeping the mind active also. If I spend some time daily just walking on the rooftop of my house or exercising lightly, I receive a new supply of strength in my body and mind. After a stressful day, just going for a short walk eases all stress away.
Sometimes it feels like you need to just stop moving and it’s fine to rest. I know that completely stopping can be bad. My father was a farmer, and most definitely had active years out in the fields from a young age up until old. He taught me that running and doing work will keep you alive, and that energy is what makes happiness in the mind..
A lot of persons believe that exercise is only for youths, but I disagree. This will be applicable at any age for all. People should not sit down all day. This is why if am stressed up due to a busy day at work, going for a walk actually gives me the feeling that am doing something special for myself. It helps me maintain good health in both the body and the mind.
The understanding of staying active has always been encompassing every aspect of life. This is not about idle time, or laziness.
I always attempt to free some hours in the day for myself, whether it be for a walk in the morning, taking stairs or drinking tea on the balcony in the evening. These little actions bring me strength.

All kinds of movement cease and even our thoughts become lethargic and sluggish And that is what makes us age quicker. Therefore I would like to make people understand that in any age in their life they should continue to move. No matter it is just a little effort each day, let’s keep ourselves moving and encourage to move towards something new. Because as long as we are alive, there will always be somethings to look forward too. Life doesn’t stop, neither should we, because we shouldn’t let life stop us, so we should keep on moving, in our own way, our own pace.
