Achievement is said to be the attainment of a set target or goal in any area of your life, be it in education, business, career, growth, project etc. Your achievement is assessed by self-reflection and people feed. With this, we bring in our title to this discussion There is no small achievement... Everything is celebrated!!"
Everyone has difficulty setting goals and targets. A person's starting point might be a passed point for another. Passing an exam, completing chores, completing a project at the workplace, building a house, buying a car, all these are achievements. To some people, they might look small, while to others, it's a big one. But every point of achievement is important, none is small, and it is all worth celebrating because it gives the individual fulfilment and satisfaction when accomplished.
There is no small achievement for me; every accomplishment is worth celebrating, no matter its importance or size. No matter the achievement, it promotes growth and a starting point for greater achievements. When we celebrate our achievements, no matter the significance, it encourages and motivates our minds to more wins.
However, when we celebrate our achievements, it gives us that self-confidence. You can give yourself a reward no matter how little, tell friends and loved ones about it if you can afford a get-together in respect to celebrating your achievement; you can acknowledge the effort and contribution of those who helped you to accomplish this achievement. Once this is done set a target for another based on your recent success.
You can also use your achievement to help other who finds it difficult to achieve such goals. By disclosing your experiences and knowledge, you are allowing them to learn, improve and conquer their challenges in that set target.
Never stop celebrating any milestone of life; you deserve it; effort and determination were put In to get to where you are. We can always encourage individuals who see their achievements as minor by making them feel valued with their accomplishments through verbal words such as " You have done a good job" This will boost their morale.
There was an accident I witnessed last week; a friend's daughter came back from school feeling so bad. Her reason was that in her school, every Friday, students who perform well for the week are called out, celebrated and given a medal. So she has been working hard to get this medal, last week she was among those that did well but this time the school did not get a medal to celebrate them this little child cried so much about it at home that the father had to put a call to the headteacher who explained that they run out medals that was why there was no celebration this time.
With the way this little child was treated, if there was no proper explanation, she must have had that mindset that her achievement was small for not being recognised. But with the medal, she would have felt fulfilled with her achievement.
Lets us learn to celebrate our achievements be they minor or major, it helps us reflect on our progress and success
