Contest: "THE EXODUS OF LILIAN"

Hello friends and I welcome you all to my article. I appreciate @inspiracion for such an interesting contest and would diligently take part in this great dynamics.

High school besties turns life time associates! is a statement that cannot be overemphasized. The childhood friendship and goals in one way or the other develops ones lives shaping them to be indeed what they are meant to be. I walked into high school and introvert always staying on my own, returning smiles and goodwill gestures when related at me I diligently loved self respect and truly tried so hard to earn it decisively.

However, I caught someone's attention who took interest in my reserved qualities always smiling and stealing glances at me all the time. She would write little notes in paper thrown at me occasionally, more times jokes that crack me up. Most times buy me lunch and most importantly we could have pep talks while going home about special events. We grew and bonded all the more.

Moreso, things got serious as we all knew, she was my prom date during social events in high school and the height of it all was when she demanded a kiss at the prom night. I declined respectively stressing that we were not at that level yet. She understood and kept that pretty stare at me. I knew she was into me but threaded carefully to avoid escalating issues.

Furthermore, Lilian bumped into me about few months ago, she hugged me amidst tears she really missed me. We got talking and she said she stayed in England and came back to take care of a thing in Nigeria. She demanded if I wanted to share in her wins by joining her. I pretended uninterested. She agreed and let me be.

Importantly on my birthday, she delivered gifts at my doorsteps here in Nigeria from England. I felt so happy and would be glad to hear from her again. She contacted to say that I should work on my passport and visa to come over. I felt so happy getting into the states too. I respect and give her her flowers too. She is a friend everyone needs and I have learnt a whole lot of things from the highschool bestie.
