My positve experience with the dairygame.

Besides participating in contests organised by steemit blog in the cryptoacademy, I have been a regular participant in the diarygames since the launch of this initiative. I have never been writing my diaries offline earlier. When the programme was launched, I was new to the platform and I wasn't familiar with the content of the diaries. As I had a monotonous schedule in life, so my diaries used to be very short. I can say that, I wasn't skilled to express my daily activities. I gradually got benefitted from the diary game in many ways as discussed below ;

Diarygame writing taught me the skill of being expressive with very little content, I learned to express myself in such a way that little content is greatly and thoroughly expressed. So it groomed my writing skills as well.

Diarygame reduced the barrier of entry into the platform. Before the introduction of diarygames, I used to blog about health-related issues. Being a health professional, I am having content to write about but most of the users are students and struggle for content. For those users, the diarygame has been introduced as a blessing in disguise. Even for me, the efforts that I had to put in to stay consistent on the platform have dramatically reduced So the diarygames has made this platform more user friendly

Diarygames in addition to recording the routine ordinary activities have also recorded some golden moments like birthdays, marriage ceremonies, festivals and picnics etc. Being a decentralised platform, content cannot be deleted and so whatever diaries we have written can be checked anytime in future. Honestly speaking, at times I check my previous diaries to look for some important events and dates. So diarygames are just like a record book.

Diarygames are a source of income for me and that too for doing nothing extra. You are being paid for sharing what

have done throughout the day. I don't know any other platform online or offline wuhere money is so easy to earn

Disadvantages

Having a diary without a photograph is just like an identity card without a photograph. If you have to post your diary every day, at times you need to take photographs at some unusual places too because you are having this thing somewhere in the back of your mind that there should be some photographs for your diary.

At times your diaries remain without votes for weeks and that is a great source of discouragement for steemians and mostly for beginners as they are expecting upvotes on every diary.

People don't usually interact with others on diaries and at times some of your special moments go unrecognised and that makes users feel bad sometimes. So keep interacting with others to get recognised and have a good feel.

Sometimes when you pass your day in one place like a holiday at home , when you don't do anything to share and you feel like having nothing to share from the day . Making dairy on those days is difficult or disinteresting and breaks the flow that you have established.

Embarassing Diarygame

Let me share an embarrassing moment with you. Last year one person died due to covid and I and my colleague went to attend his funeral as covid positive people weren't handled to their families. As we reached there, we saw that people weren't following SOPs and there was a huge gathering of people. So we couldn't persuade them as there was pandemonium. So we let them handle the dead body.

At funeral
As they started to offer the funeral prayer for the deceased, i asked my colleague to take photographs. I was having it in my mind that, I'll share it in my diary. Soon after finishing the funeral, few people came to my colleague and asked him, what was there to take photographs of funeral prayer and they were annoyed. It was embarrassing for us. So I told them that, we had to share these photographs in our official group to mark our attendance at the accompanying funeral and so I ended the discussion there. Otherwise, it was getting problematic for us

Conclusion

My overall experiance with Diarygames is awesome. Besides being incentivising , initiative served many other purposes as well . I would rate it as the best initiative on the platform for all the users . The greatest advantage is its role in reducing barrier of entry and thereby sustaining users .
