SEC-S18W4: My selfies and I

Introduction

It's a great pleasure taking part in the 4th week of the 18th season of the Steemit engagement challenge and a unique one of course. Let's dive into it without any further delay.

My Selfies and I

Professional camera devices, mini cameras and those installed on mobile devices have enabled us to take pictures of events around us as it unfolds. Everyone can now easily take pictures on the go, to keep for future reflections.

Selfie is one amazing type of picture-taking that enables you to capture yourself with the front camera of a mobile device (sometimes rear cameras are used) without necessarily looking around for someone who can assist in capturing a moment.

Some selfies (or pictures generally) are pre-planned while some just pop up in our minds to capture a moment or how things unfold during an outing. In general, they preserve beautiful memories and well-dated events using the images as reference.

I don't take too many pictures but certainly, I don't joke with selfies, they just pop up in my mind to take some while inside the house or outside. I've got a list of them to share with you. Let's go!

The selfie below shows me and some friends at my traditional wedding last year. It was captured by one of my friends while I appeared in my wine colour attire just before the event began.

The atmosphere sometimes just entices you to capture pictures, the selfie below was one I randomly took on the street some time ago, I stopped to buy something on the road and just felt like taking a piece of selfie as well.

Almost every family likes to keep one or two pictures during the period they are expecting an addition to the family. The selfie below shows a picture of me and wifey taking a series of selfies while she was pregnant. It's a wonderful image to look back to and smile now.

About two months ago, we gave birth to amazing twin girls who filled the family with great joy. After the naming ceremony, we took a lot of random selfies and one of them is shared below. It's a reflection of recent happy events in the family.

The last pictures in my collection today were taken around a week ago featuring my twin girls in sun-kissed pictures. That was the first time I had taken selfies outside with these little cuties.

Pictures generally serve as storytellers after an event, beyond the fun of taking those, they are also documents that can help to figure out happenings on certain days and events.
