Years ago, I guess when I was 10 years old, I started writing my personal diary, a diary no one was allowed to read. I wrote in it, my fay at school, people I love, people that I wanted out of my life. Lyrics of different songs lmao and whatnot. I tried to maintain my diary as much as I could.
As years passed, my will to write a diary diminished over time. Whereat one time I used to write a diary daily, over time I stopped writing, and as years passed I ceased completely. In fact, I don't even know where my diary is right now. Maybe If I am ever able to find it again, it will expose a lot of my secrets. Things that I liked a lot. People who were very important to me and much much more.
One fine morning, last year, I had the privilege to know about this platform, ie, steemit through my cousin @maazmoid123 it was from there, that my journey of writing a daily diary started once again. 22 May is a special date for me for a couple of reasons.
- because it's my birthday.
- because we'll celebrate the second anniversary of #thediarygame on steemit.
Though I have been on this platform since last year, I have cherished my experience with the diary game. In this post, we have been provided with the opportunity of writing about our experiences. So let us begin:
MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE DIARY GAME

Imagine a kid who's just been admitted to a school, in a strange city, amongst strange people? That's what I went through when I first tried my luck on Steemit. I only knew a single user here. And all I knew at that time was that we get paid by the steemit team for writing quality content. Didn't have an idea of the Communities, nothing about the amazing people here, nor about the engagement that I've done with thousands of people over time.
The Pakistani country representatives were of great help in my initial stages. They introduced me to Steemit Pakistan and it was from there, that I had the starting point of my diaries. I still remember the first diary that I wrote. Even though, not many people engaged with it, I still was so happy that a couple of people commented on it.

#betterlife THE DAILY DIARY GAME. MY 1ST POST. BY @huzaifanaveed1
That's where my journey of being a writer on this platform started. I knew nothing about the presentation of the posts, ie, justifying the text, using good headers and footers, etc, but obviously, I learned all about it over time.
My first mistake?
Each and every amateur in this world makes a mistake and I believe it's the responsibility of the moderators to be considerate and to guide them in a better respectful manner. When I joined Steemit, I didn't know that you cannot post the same post in multiple communities. I did that, with an intention of spreading my work to a larger number of people. That's where I received multiple comments from a Pakistani user who told me, that cross-posting is not allowed. It wasn't a big deal, but I don't know why I am still not able to forget it. I have come a long way from that. I have achieved a great deal on this platform, but that mistake, I did as a beginner, one year ago, keeps on troubling me for unknown reasons.

It was from there, that I tried not to give anyone an opportunity on calling me out like that publicly. It kinda hurt me, idk. Is that a normal thing?
I Moved On?
I moved on from that, though it kept on hurting me for a while. But I guess, in order to be a better person, or being better in any way, you need to have experiences like these. From there I took charge of myself and started posting quality content. I learned a lot in my journey of writing Diary games. Some taught me something, while others brought me down but I made sure I was strong enough to deal with all of them.
Since then I have shared over 100 diary games I guess. I have been expressive in all of them. I have shared my ups and downs, my happy and sad moments, my achievements, my adventure trips, and much more.

Moments of Delight
I make sure to share my happy moments here on Steemit for a couple of reasons
one, that my followers get to read it
two, that's a more important reason for me is that I will get to read all of this years later, maybe when I am not on Steemit anymore. I'll get to cherish all the things that I used to post on Steemit.
My Experience of Adding Value through Diary Games
Ever since I joined steemit, I have tried my best to add as much value as I can to this platform. It could be through reviews, by teaching users something, or by using my profession as an opportunity to write about it. I have always been at the Frontline doing that, and all of my followers are witnesses to that.

Appreciation from the Steemit Team
Well, we all agree that getting appreciation from the Steemit team, every now and then really does increase our morale and our motivation of doing better and better. I will always remember the day when Steemcurator01 followed me. It was Eid day 1 and I couldn't have been happier. All of us remember our first Steemcurator01/02 vote and I believe it's a really beautiful element of this platform.
Similarly, when we get appreciation from other users as well it raises our morale. I was privileged enough to receive the highest award on steemit, and that is :
BEST AUTHOR 2021

The biggest appreciation that i received . I was able to pull this off. When I think of the day when I was told that I am the best author of steemit for 2021, I still get goosebumps. It was unreal. I was able to lift the courage of many users from Pakistan. They realized they can do it too. I can proudly say that because of this I made Pakistani users proud all over the world on this platform.
None of this would have been possible without the determination that I have shown from the start till today. I have always added good quality content on this platform. No plagiarism, no mediocre stuff, just pure quality. This asks for a lot of consistency and a lot of determination. I will continue with the same spirit in 2022 as well, as I want to retain my position in the Steemit Awards 2022 as well.
CONCLUSION
This was a good Contest as it dragged me down memory lane, remembering all the beautiful moments of the past that I have gone through. I am sure you all must have had a good read as well. With this, I'd like to end my article. Thank you for reading up till this point.
Regards
