My greatest wish for my country.

Greetings to @teamvenezuela and other steemit friends present in the house.

Thinking about the chaos that the society is experiencing can sometimes lead to heartbreak and disappointment. We go to bed and wake up believing that society will get better because we always have it in mind that tomorrow will be better. Is that truly the case? Is the society getting better? Do we still believe it will get better? Well, I do not want to say that there is no hope. Nevertheless, elements of doubt still exist in me.

Religion was supposed to instill in us the hunger for peace, love, and justice but it has now become an old fashion. The society does not longer fancy it, and most of the religion leaders now interpret their holy books based on their personal interest instead of the true religion.

When democracy came onboard, I believe people were happy because they see it as platform where people will have their freedom and also be given equal opportunities. The society have now reversed it the other way round. Those in political power have enslaved other citizens and depraved them of their right. Opportunities are only given to children's of the rich. The law and constitution of the country is no longer respected. What a shame.

Western education came to us that it might widen our horizon and show us the light. Our forefathers probably have made good use of it. But the society we live today have abused it. The advancement is science and technology has brought more crime to the society. The upcoming generation has made cyber crime to be the order of the day. Not even our resource are now safe because hackers and scammers has taken over the society. I pity my generation but I sympathize more with the next generation.

Energy would fail me if I'm to talk both on the issues and also my wish for Nigeria. The problem are numerous ranging from politics, religion, and lack of social amenities like roads, electricity, hospitals, and bad education system. I have always ask myself about the genesis of all the problems but I still have no clear answer.

Nevertheless, I believe all the challenges can be summed under bad education system. If we all can have access to good education, we will have no cause to complain about roads, hospital, bad governance, and many more because, good education brings nothing but development and progress. Where there is development and progress, there are things like good hospitals, roads, electricity, schools, and other amenities. But lack of education brings under-development and setback. In return it deprive us of all the things listed above. In summary, all I wish for my country is good education system that can make all it citizens responsible members of the society.
