SEC-S5:W4 – This is how I Prepare for the World Cup.

Introduction

My dear friend, greetings to you and welcome to my post. I trust you are doing fine. In the post that you're about to read, I describe my entry to the contest that was organized in Steem Venezuela, in which I talk about how I have prepared for the world.

Football is a game that is loved by everyone, and we are all now anticipating and preparing for the World Cup, just as players are busy training and preparing themselves for the event.

To that end, as a fan of the Nigeria Super Eagles and my favorite footballers, I have started preparing for how I would watch the World Cup. Having said that, these are the ways in which I have prepared for the World Cup and plan to enjoy it.

• I have prepared and plan to watch the world cup at the biggest football show in my city.

• I have also prepared and plan to watch the World Cup live if it is hosted in any of the stadiums in Nigeria.

My friend, whose cousin is playing with the Nigeria Super Eagle, was planning to watch the world cup live in any country where it will take place, and to that end, I have been getting closer to him these days so as not to miss the opportunity when it comes.

As a lover of football, I didn't know about football back in 2006 since I was too young and small, and viewing centers were not common then. Although I can't tell or remember much about the 2010 FIFA World Cup, I do recall the second Godhand and Uruguay's blatantly unfair advancement to the semifinals. I supported Holland the entire time; therefore, I was devastated when Spain won the championship thanks to a goal from Andres Iniesta.

2014 world cup was a year where I didn't generally support anyone because I was seriously studying my books in order to be admitted to a higher institution. I developed a greater desire to support Brazil and Germany as they competed for their fourth championship. The 7-1 victory over Brazil by Germany made me joyful. The morning following the championship, I can still clearly recall watching as I awoke. I saw my dad reading the newspaper about the 2014 World Cup, which then motivated me.

In 2018, I was in my third year in school, which means I wasn't a child. Then I began watching football in a viewing center with my friends, where we normally go and stand. It was in 2018 that I realized that when it comes to the World Cup, it's my country that needs support first before others.

To that end, I can remember some of the memories of what happened that seem very funny to me in the 2018 World Cup. In the 2018 World Cup, these were the antidotes that occurred.

In order for a World Cup to be memorable, the host country must perform both on and off the field. In 2018, Russia did just that.

Two victories in Group A matches earned them a meeting with Spain in Moscow. Few even sniffed at them. A defensive-minded Russian team, however, restrained the Spanish, who had prolonged possession but were slow-moving and low-risk. On penalty kicks, Fernando Hierro's team ultimately paid the price.

When it comes to the history of football, I can't tell my best moments because I was a teenager then, and I only started watching football fully in 2018.
