Warm greetings to great steemians in this platform. Hope the weather is good with you people. I am glad to participate on this challenge wit the title "Letter to my Father", organized by @teamvenezuela.

Fathers are great and outstanding figure in every home. When you lose a biological father, that's when you will know what life is all about. And if your mother is not financially buoyant, nobody will tell you that you have to take up the responsibility of taking care of yourself.

Dear Daddy,

I want to pen this down to you to show you how much i appreciate your love and care towards me. Right from when i knew right from wrong, untill now, i have seen how much you stress yourself just to make me feed well, dress well, and sleep well. I have grown to be independent, and i have seen that you really strive hard to put things in place for me and my siblings. The home training i have now is because of you.

I want to thank you for the Godly upbringing. I can remember in those days when i was still in the primary and secondary school, you will wake me and my siblings up for morning prayers. A habit i still practice till today. And i will also practice it with my children because it is a good thing. I can not forget how you taught me psalms 5 in my local dialet. I can fluently read Efik Bible because you taught how to read it me during morning prayer.

Your love for education is the reason where i am today and even all my siblings. I can remember when you will call all of us and tell us to present our list of books for a term. You will even pay for our school fees that first day of resumption. And our textbooks will be provided on time. What more can it be if not love and care you have for me and my siblings. I would say you loved me more, because when you were transferred to River State for the work of God, i was the only one you carried along with you. You gave me the experience and exposure i have now.

Thank you for all the good advise you gave to me. Even when i do a wrong thing, you corrected me with advice. That advice sticks in me. You once told me that Life is not two, that it is only one, and i should take care of the one that i have. Today that advice has helped me. I am careful with what i do, and places i go.

Your demise broke me down that year. It was as if the coverage on me was removed. I missed you so much. Even in my next life, i will still choose you as my Daddy. I love you.

I will continue to be that child you wanted me to be. The respect you taught me to give to people, to show love and kindness, to live an examplary live, i will do them all. Thank you my father, my mentor.
