Una vuelta por la Av. 4 de Mayo hoy Domingo 25/04/2021

Pues hoy salí a agarrar un poco de aire fresco cerca de casa en la Av. 4 de Mayo, y sentí una profunda melancolía, porque a pesar de la Pandemia a desaparecido toda la vida de este lugar, aquellos vendedores de perros calientes y hamburguesas que daban vida y sacaban de apuro a la gente después de ir a ver un juego de béisbol del estadio de Guatamare; y las tiendas que eran el motivo de muchas visitas de turistas a nuestra hermosa Isla, pues todas esas cosas han desaparecido, no nos queda mas que mirar a través de la ventana y suspirar recuerdos que solo quedan grabados en nuestra mente y que solo le podemos contar a nuestros hijos y que sea la imaginación de ellos la que ilustre en su mente lo que narramos; no es fácil lo que vivimos pero sobrevivimos. Well, today I went out to get some fresh air close to home on Av. 4 de Mayo, and I felt a deep melancholy, because despite the Pandemic all their lives have disappeared from this place, those sellers of hot dogs and hamburgers who they gave life and bailed people out after going to see a baseball game at the Guatamare stadium; and the shops that were the reason for many tourist visits to our beautiful island, because all those things have disappeared, we have nothing left but to look through the window and sigh memories that only remain etched in our mind and that we can only tell our children and let their imagination illustrate what we narrate in their minds; It is not easy what we live but we survive.
