Greetings all steemit friends, we meet again through this platform through a contest held by the Venezuelan Steem community.
The theme raised in this contest is "while you wait" or in Indonesian can be interpreted as "while we wait".
It must be admitted that waiting is very boring, for people who are less creative in managing time. However, for those who are creative when waiting for something, this time can be used to read, build communication with friends, and even complete some pending work.
Therefore, whether someone is bored or not waiting for something when stuck in traffic, waiting to be picked up, waiting in line, and in various other waiting conditions. It really depends on how he uses the waiting time.
This time, I will try to outline some tips that we can use to utilize our free time while waiting for something. Through these tips, we hope to be able to kill the boredom we are facing. I will outline several tips that we can use to fill the time while waiting. I will narrate this description through several questions that have been formulated in this contest.
Does all time have to be productive?
To comment on this question, we need to emphasize the meaning of productive upstream. Productiveness is not limited to activities that produce something in the form of goods or services. If the definition of productive is like that, then we can be sure that "not all time has to be productive", because at certain times, the activities we carry out do not necessarily produce goods or services.
However, what is produced is good values. Such as increasing vocabulary through reading and improving relationships through socializing with others. So, whether the meaning of time must always be productive or not really depends on a person's perspective in interpreting productivity in terms of time itself.
Therefore, defining productivity in terms of time use in certain conditions is very important, to avoid blurring the meaning and right/wrong justification for a person's use of time.
What do you think about John Lennon's phrase: "Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans"?
This expression is true, because not all plans that have been prepared run smoothly and seamlessly, so it is possible that adjustments will occur when the plan is implemented.
But life is not just about making various plans to achieve material things. Strengthening relationships between friends as social creatures must also be planned. Likewise, strengthening capacity through additional reading is also something that needs to be planned too.
In this case, it is very important to balance time in planning work to get maximum results. It is equally important to share time for social activities in daily life.
What do you do in everyday situations where you have to wait, traffic jams, power and/or internet outages, etc.?
There are many things that can be done while we are waiting for something. Whether it's because we're stuck in traffic, the electricity goes out or the internet network is disrupted while we're working. The activities we do to fill this time can also be productive, as I have explained above.
Like reading when we are stuck in traffic for a long time. You can also interact with various people when the lights go out or the internet has problems while we work. So we can take advantage of these conditions to remain productive, even though it is adjusted from the work plan that has been prepared previously.
Or it could also be that when these non-ideal conditions occur, we take advantage of it to interact intensely with our family, with our own children, wives and parents. So that time in waiting is not wasted. Our ability to improvise in dealing with this time really determines the productivity of the time itself, and can also kill the boredom of waiting.
Have you decided what attitude to life you will have while waiting, or are you just thinking about the goal you want to achieve?
I will certainly try my best not to stand idly by at certain times that are saturated and boring. Usually I use the waiting time to read, or build interactions with people around me, who are also waiting. Usually I do this while waiting in line at the hospital, when taking my parents for treatment. Just a glimpse of my cotes story, hopefully it's useful.
Hello @muniss, It is very good not to sit idly by while we wait for our goals to be met, our attitude says many things about who we are.
Thanks for participating
