Relax and enjoy as I tell you about one of the biggest and busiest marketplace that's located at Yenagoa Bayelsa state, Nigeria.

Bayelsa is the second largest oil producing state in my country, located in the southern part of Nigeria, a riverine state where over 80% of it land mass is cover with water. And Yenagoa is the capital city of Bayelsa state. People travel from various parts of the country down to Yenagoa for businesses, and other activities, because the state is a unique one.

One major reason why this marketplace remains one of the busiest in my town is that . This means that people from far and neighbouring communities crosses this bridge to get to Yenagoa where the rate of business activities are higher. People from Famgba, Ikolo, Southern Ijaw, Brass, Nemba and even those outside the state, gather together under this bridge where various activities are carried out.

Basically, every business activities you could think of are been carried out in and around this marketplace. So as early as 5:00 AM, people would begin to prepare themselves for the days activities, because some goods travel all through the night, and usually arrives the shores of the Yenagoa river by 5:00 AM.

Normally, I usually visit the fish section of the market more often because every kind of fish I needed was found there. Today, I visited the plastic section of the market, where plastic items, pots and buckets are been sold. And I love the fact that I could get these items in bulk and cheaper with cheaper rates too.

The reason why people tend to often come to this marketplace is because, Items here are sold at cheaper rates, given the fact that sellers are very honest as possible to their customers for the fear of losing them to other traders who sell these same items.

Conclusion

Swali has remained one of the most popular marketplace in my city, and It still developing and so I know that within the nearest future they would be great improvement in that aspect.

I want to thank @hive-151446 and the entire @Steem Venezuela team for organizing such an interesting contest.
Am inviting @offia66, @drhira and @precious123, to check out this contest 👉 contest link

Hi @preye2

You have shown us a very popular and large market on the banks of a river. The atmosphere looks crowded and interesting, sure you can find a lot of things there.
You have also placed prices with equivalence in Steem.
You did a good job.

Without any doubt, Swali market is one of the biggest open markets that I have known through this contest, I can't imagine the amount of people that visit this place every day.

You are right my dear friend, the market is really wide and alot of people come there to perform one activity or the other. Thanks for your time here sir, I really appreciate ❤️.

I so much like this commercial area that is in Bayelsa state. What make it more interesting to me is the fact that the market is located close to River and everyone can be capture from afar. Thank you for sharing this interesting post friend. Best of luck to you.

I've not been to this market before neither have I been to Bayelsa but from this discription given, I'll like to try it out because the price tags for stuffs here are way cheaper when compared to that in Abia State.

One major reason why this marketplace remains one of the busiest in my town is that it's situated right under the popular Swali bridge that connects the state capital(Yenagoa) to other villages and towns all over the state.

I believe that this market have been existing for decades yeah? If so, then that proves my hypothesis right that even though our ancestors didn't have the white mans education, they could still predict the future and geographically put things where it'll gloom after some years...

Thanks for this piece of work bro..

I have been to Ariaria Market in Abia state, and it's equally lovely, although the prices in many items varies with that of the Swali marketplace.
You are always welcome to Bayelsa, and anytime you are ready to check out this marketplace, I will surely love to show you around.

Yes you are right this marketplace has stayed for many decades, and this proves that wisdom is a gift that's given by God to mankind, which causes them to take correct decisions, even without the intervention of a third party. Thanks for your time here sir, I really appreciate ❤️.

@preye2
The guy even slept close to the market, seems you like the market a whole lot and I think the items there are cheaper and affordable

😂😅 Sleeping is part of the exploration, and am just enjoying the moment. I just love checking out the market from that position where I could equally be seeing the natural flowing water. The items are cheaper when compared to some other areas. Thanks for your time here dearie, I really appreciate ❤️.

I see you did not only go there to buy stuffs. You were on a pricing mission.😆😆 I love everything you did, even the one you did laying down under the bridge.😍😍

Oh yes, pricing is really an important aspect in marketing. And I was actually resting on duty😂😅. Thanks for your time here, I really appreciate ❤️.

Seeing the crowd at the market, it is agreeable to say it is a market that has every items needed, swali market which is located on the bank of yenagoa state must be a very popular market to see such influx in the market.

Greetings

You are really correct my dear friend, there's always a great number of people checking out stuffs in the marketplace on a daily basis. Thanks for your time here sir, I really appreciate ❤️.

The market is quite big but things are very expensive these days and it's disheartening 😔.
