Good evening steemians
. Childhood has always been a very wonderful stage of life whereby we get enough time to play and there's no room for them to be sad or scared. I really had a very profitable childhood because I was able to play to my satisfaction and to also explore alot of things. My siblings really made that period of my life very lively though I was in trouble sometimes because am the eldest and anytime something happens to my junior ones my dad always punish me.

Brief beginning of the Spy Kids

I feel enlightened remembering my childhood days again through this contest, my childhood was very friendly and even as my siblings and I always stay indoors because we were living in an area that's like a ghetto, we still had a lively experience. My siblings and I will stay in our verandah watching other children play outside and sometimes we will want to cry because our parents won't allow us to play outside.

Though till today am so happy that our parents always kept us inside because we would have been a spoilt brat and I don't think I will even be in steemit today. We packed out from the compound after my father did a very shocking thing, he's just a teacher in a country Nigeria where they earn little amount of money but my father managed to build a house, this is because of his hardwork but we haven't finished the house and at least that year 2015, the house has windows, doors, toilet, roof and a room arranged for sleeping because only one of the rooms was set well.

Ok back to the deepest part of my past. My siblings and I were always doing wonderful things and we co-operate alot to the extent we called ourselves Spy Kids. We will do something wrong in the house and nobody will talk then our parents normally forget about the situation sometimes and we will be happy that we succeeded but sometimes they normally flog the hell out of all of us. 🤣.

Never caught playing outside

Funniest event of my childhood is when we normally play outside when our parents are not at home. My father will tell me Kelvin come and bolt the door and nobody should go outside, and I will say ok happily because I know is time for all of us to pack outside. I was just less than 10 years old. Immediately my father has gone, we will wait for 15 minutes to past first then I will be at the front and unbolt the door then we will all come outside and shout FREEDOM! then we will begin to run round the compound and play with some of our neighbors.

Our mum is a civil servant and a teacher in this sector, she goes to school with our last born who's less then 4 years old and she teaches in another local government so she goes to school on Monday morning and come back home by Friday evening since she rented a house there where she normally stays during the week. Luckily for us our father is a very nice chef and he cooks for us every weekdays.

Our father goes to home lessons after school and before he will go he will give us our lunch and tell us tondo all our assignments then he will leave the house to teach some children in their homes but he doesn't teach them on Fridays and weekends. As the biggest and the smartest, I always know when our father comes back home, we don't understand wall clocks then and we don't have business with time so we don't check time at all.

There was no watch or phone with us so even if we check time we don't have anywhere except the wall clock to check time. We only survive through me, I always sense the time my father is about to end the lesson wherever he does it.

Once I begin to feel it, I will organize my brother and my sister and tell them to run inside then we will watch our legs and hands and pretend as if we are reading or sleeping till our father will come back home and I will open the door for him. Did anybody go outside? My father will ask and I will boldly say NO because he knows I don't lie at all and my siblings and I will secretly call ourselves Spy kids, and shake each other's hands 🤣. My experience is much but I can't say all here, I will do that in another post.

I invite @msharif, @patjewell, @sahmie and @john247 to participate in this contest.

Never get caught paying outside is one of tge most funny moments i had in my childhood especially at night. We had to learn the sound of our father's motorcycle in the extent that before hr enter the street we'll all ran inside as if nothing happened.
Funny moment. Good luck to you.

You learnt the unique sound of your father's motorcycle 😂😂. Very funny.

A very nice and wonderful write up concerning your childhood, when you made mentioned that your dad is a good chef, you made me remember my dad as well though he hardly cooks but when he do we all testify the deliciousness of the food, childhood as you stated above has always been a very wonderful stage of life whereby we get enough time to play and there's no room for them to be sad or scared, yes because then we never knew that life is full of many obstacles and risk but thank God that we grew up to know all this, and one thing I really love about this post is the pictures of your past with your siblings to be sincere am jealous because I don't have pictures like this because of some reasons and issues but any way that doesn't really matters now, all I have to say now is a big thanks for mentioning me here I really appreciate it, and I wish you success in this contest post, much love bro big hug 💗

@saintkelvin17

You had a very good childhood like you said your father is a very good chef and you made a lot of memories of your childhood because childhood is one that is very much or not for a person. And this is a moment in which a person does not have any tension or worry, only this time a person lives openly and doing your life I hope you had a great time with your siblings because childhood is best spent with siblings because when siblings meet they play lots of fun games etc. Play and have a lot of fun with each other and you have also attached both the pictures of your past and now and there is a lot of difference, now your personality has changed a lot.

BEST REGARDS
@alisha-doll

Awh! The three of you were super cute!!
Your father is a remarkable man. If we three kids were left with my father to look after us, we would only eat take-aways. (•ิ‿•ิ) I don't think my dad could even bake an egg, let alone make a sandwich.

Best wishes, and thank you for the invitation.

Ok in the first picture right 🙈🙈. We are always very cute and our parents are always happy they gave birth to wonderful kids like us.

My father is a very good cook because he lived with his grandmother when he was a little boy. He can cook alot of nice meals with balanced diets.

Thanks for the comment ma, I guess your husband can cook at least 😁😁.

Nope! My husband cannot even bake an egg.
BUT he can BRAAI!

The word "braai" is derived from the Afrikaans language, where it simply means "barbecue" or "grill." However, the practice of cooking meat over an open flame has ancient roots in South Africa.

Is good that he can Braai at least 😊😊.

Happy new month ma

Thank you! ☕
A happy new month to you also.

Hello dear @saintkelvin17!

It is fascinating to read about your colorful childhood years. I thought it was great how nicely you and your siblings worked together and dubbed yourself the Spy Kids. When your father learned about your outdoor activities how did he respond? Warm regards dear
