SEC-S5:W6 - The public roads of your city

Hi steemians,
Welcome to my sixth entry for this week's engagement challenge. As we all know, every participant in the engagement is expected to enter just one of the contests in a day and for that reason, we are all eligible to do only one entry for the engagement every single day.

I have written since the first day of this week's engagement challenge and today happens to be the sixth day and I will be entering the contest organised by this noble community titled "The public roads of your city". I will be attempting the questions below as a sign of my entry into the contest. Let's get started.

I'm currently in Akwanga a local government area in Nasarawa state Nigeria. Akwanga is somewhat seen as the local government at the heart of Nasarawa state because of the link it has to other states. Akwanaga is linked to Jos Plateau state Nigeria, it is also linked to Abuja which is the federal capital territory of Nigeria and lastly, it has a link to Benue state I.e the food basket of the Nation.

Before you can go to any of the states listed above, you have to pass through the major road seen above. This makes Akwanga's local government a centre. The road seen above is called a federal road due to the link it has with other states. The federal government takes complete control of taking good care of the road.

The major road has a motor park surrounding it since it has 3 cities linked to it. There are parks where you bore a motor car to any of the cities listed above. Because of the presence of these parks, a lot of activities are being performed here.

People hawk and sell a lot of things by the roadside. Others help to load the goods on the different cars. So many activities are done here and that attracts more people to this very road.

Recently, the major road was renovated and another lane was created. Before this time, the lane was just one and that caused a lot of commotion. After the recent renovation of the road, the road became more beautiful and busy. People now travel the road more as it is less dangerous now.

Seeing the innovation, the community has been made even more popular as many travellers now follow the road. So the creation of the other lane has made this road more famous and accessible.

Well, my routine here is not usual. I only travel the road every working day to my school which is not more than 15KM from my house. I'm not too much of a traveller hence going to the park too bored with a car is something I do only occasionally. So as I said earlier I only travel the road to school.

This public road in my city is linked to many other cities in Nigeria and this has made the road busier than others. The federal government are responsible for taking care of the road. Recently, a new lane was added to the road which makes the road more comfortable for travelling vehicles.
