SEC-S7W3 – Drawing my photo

Hello everybody.

Welcome to this post. I hope that all of you will be good and enjoying the time with the grace and blessings of Almighty Allah. Today, I am here to be a part of the week 3 contest in the Steem Venezuela community. The topic is Drawing my Photo. So, stay tuned with me.

Today, I am going to draw a very beautiful coffee French Press. First of all, have a look at the cup that I am talking about and which I am going to draw with the use of the conventional stuff.

Drawing the French Press

First of all, have a look at the material that is used while this drawing. It simply contains a plain and clean paper, a carbon pencil, an eraser and a sharpener.

Starting the drawing, first of all, I drawn the two sides of the press. After drawing and left sides of the press, I moved towards drawing the bottom of the press which was round in structure. These steps are shown in the below images.

After drawing the bottom, I moved towards drawing the upper part of the press. Also, I have drawn the top lid of the container. These steps are shown in the below pictures.

Then, I drew the small hollow squares that are present in the bottom part. Have a look at the below image in this regard.

At the end, I highlighted all the lines and drawn the handle of the press. Then, I filled up all the hollow parts with the carbon color of the pencil. You can see this step in the below image.

Final Results

You can see the final results of my drawing in the below picture. The French coffee press that is drawn by me is shown below along with my name and date of today.

I have also taken a selfie with the drawing of the day. Below is the picture in this regard.

Why did you choose to photograph this?

There is no a particular reason behind the selection of the French Coffee Press as the drawing object for today. Actually, I was thinking about drawing something for today for many time but I was confused in the selection of the best object for this drawing.

During this thinking, I went to the kitchen to ask my mother for a cup of coffee but then I saw this beautiful press and I decided to take a picture of this beautiful object and selected it for the drawing of the day.

How long did it take you to draw the image of your photograph?

I took almost 30 minutes while drawing this beautiful drawing. Also, the 30 minutes were wasted during the process because my little brothers were sitting besides me and they were making fun of my drawing skills that's why, I took almost 1 hour in total while completing the drawing of this beautiful picture.

What part was difficult for you to draw?

The most difficult part of this drawing was the bottom and the top of the press. The other sides and the handle of the press were quite simple for me to draw.

The bottom edges and the lid was very difficult for me to draw because the corners were round and the top lid was quite sphere, that's why it was a bit difficult for me to draw.

In overall, the experience while drawing this picture was very beautiful. Although, I am not very good in drawing but I am improving this skill with the passage of time and that's all about the practice.
