Lahore (Urdu Point Latest Newspaper. 13 April 2022) National High Performance Center in Karachi lacks proper training facilities for Pakistani women, PCB has failed to provide modern equipment and training staff to female players. The PCB has arranged training facilities for women cricketers at the Hanif Muhammad High Performance Center to help the players stay fit during the off-season.
However, athletes are unhappy with the lack of outdated equipment and trained staff at the gym. During the holy month of Ramadan, the PCB has scheduled a training session from 3pm to 5pm, which the cricketers termed as inconsistent. When the PCB was asked to change the time for the month of Ramadan, the management said that the training staff was unable to serve at any other time and there was no option for the players.
Many cricketers have started alternative training programs to maintain fitness in view of the inconvenience at the PCB's High Performance Center. The PCB, on the other hand, has not yet commented on the situation. The Pakistani women's team recently returned from a World Cup campaign in New Zealand where the girls failed to impress in the green and won only one of the seven matches.
