Outdoor Garden {Day 6}

Today I added more dirt behind the Greenhouse.

I call this area the "Hobbit Hill" because I want to pile a lot of dirt on one side of the Greenhouse with compost to help heat things up earlier. The main purpose of this mini greenhouse is to start plants early. You can see the snow on the mountains in the picture below. It's a good visual for how cold the springtime is.

If I can grow earlier; and also get a long, dry & hot summer: Then I can optimize the outdoor season! The greenhouse needs some work as well. Some new plastic, a few panels of wood. It also needs a lot more dirt on the hill. After it's all ready it should be hot enough inside to plant the seeds!
