My entry for the contest @oppongk I'm from northern part of Nigeria and general culture dominant in the north is solely the hausa language culture which comprise of Fulani although with hausa language and culture being majority the language is infused with many Arabic word as a result of Islamic influence.
Like every culture our ruler know as emir (sarki) is the head in making various trading decision with the help of small adminstration chiefs who are meant to support the emir in handling issues in villages the chiefs are to convey necessary information to the emir when necessary.
In the early 19th century hausa culture and economy has been an economy booster in Nigeria we are know for cultivation of sorghum, corn, millet, groundnut and rearing of animals craft product like blacksmithing famous for long distance trading and more economical activities.
Major cities dominated by hausa culture in Nigeria include Kano, sokoto, zamfara, bauchi yobe, and more.
Men in our culture are regarded as kings and women are meant to stay at home and bare children while the men do all the necessary provision means like provision shelter and food once a man is of age he is eligible to get married in our culture a boy and and a girl can be assigned to be husband and wife from childhood and when they are of age will be allowed to get married to each other.
Our mode of dressing stands out with native material known as shadda produced from cotton with men wearing baban Riga and women for atanfa.
Eating in our culture is done with bare hand as it is customary to eat in group hause culture believe in sharing.

marriage is quite simple here in our culture the wife family will actually be the one to take responsibility for over 70% of marriage arrangement all that is need from the husband is a space that is a room to stay with his wife after getting married.
Education system involve getting knowledge from the Koran unlike western learning system we sit on the floor with our mallam who is know as teacher to recite Koran.
our music know as wakan gargajiya consist of traditional hand drum, horn, flute.
. Since there are lot of diversify in the world I believe every culture has something to pass on and one thing I do commend my culture for is respect for elders I know it's a common norm in every society, but in the hausa culture it is of priority
. Activities mostly in our culture are aligned with religious activity like sallah which takes place once in a year although the calendar is different from English calendar other activities like emir coronation which mostly take place when a new emir is about to reinstated.
. My culture impact on steemit community will be exploration of our traditional artifacts which can virtually be found on the internet since I've make an introductory entry of my culture interested steemitian can explore and search more about it, it will be of great benefit as it will make you know more about different ethnicity in the world.
Hope this post will be useful to someone although our culture is very wide this is little I know of thanks for stopping by 😊
