My Steem Day1

So, I landed here couple of moons back when still the hype of bad-whales were fishing around. They used to feed on small fishes which had no fins to flap the waters around them and thus happened for so long that people I found here left and other vowed never to step again on these soils, it's hard to tell them back as things have really changed to be honest.

I may not be able to capture the exact moods that used to be here but I beg you trust my word that the recent events literately cleared off the bad blood within the system.

Oooh, I was supposed to talk of my first day.

There existed no such support mechanisms for newbies and seeing that the person who brought me in had left earlier for good on personal reasons, I was so stranded and yes that may have resulted to my bad skimming across the waves. The hype of get-huge-rewards were so high back then and knowing a couple of people guaranteed you a good first post payout, well I knew no one so your guess is right.

I jumped here and there on diff contests, a guaranteed way of harnessing yourself good audience and a fair ride here till to date. It stands as the best way so far, long before the geographical competitions began.

The Few People Who Helped Me Sail

Here is a couple of steemians who had me a good sail as well as dive along what I preffered to as deep waters shen I was still new.

Kawaiicrush was a marketer and I recall one initiative she brought along that was called steem nurse whereby you just had to support other members of the discord channel and she'd seek on you behalf support from whales (she was merely a dolphin if memory serves me right.)

@modern-trojan was the ninja who taught me how to organised teams for a successful walk-together here. I should mention that was the first time I got a role as a moderator, there used to be no communities back then so the tag was the most crucial reference item to distinguish members of different teams, it was as well prone to misuse hence the extra task of back-checking before casting that vote on every tag.

Pre-mature end, my vision?

Back then when steem was called an experimental project, we are now way much past the beta stage as we have been witnesses of what the system is capable of.

There's so much potential that will barely get exhasyted within the lifetime of this amazing ecosystem, and one of the many opportunities have risen with the #diarygame. We are all sure of what's gonna be like maintaingi thet huge turnout and so the need for a larget 'curation' team that's not entirely to giving upvites na dcommnets but re-delegating tasks.

From - 1000 DAYS OF STEEM : The Diary Game : Teams update, Point2

I was exloring how fit the teams could be utilised and seeing the steemit team behind the game called for othe rsugestions, I gav eout this below as point 1.

There's a need to bring more vibrancy within the team performance. Take it as a collaborating activity, understood the geographical aspect of residing members might bring in a challenge to have a collaborative like post/#diarygame entry but it could achieved in two diff ways.

Those residing in same close locality - could engage in an activity together, term it as a meet-up made up of team members only. Tasks that could be done may vary from the old planet earth cleaning, all the way to marketing techniques around where the venue of the meet-ups are taking place. Killing 3 birds with a tiny pebble.

Those residing far from each other under same country, ..(check more on this on my thoughts on the #Contest : What does steem mean to you? as challenged by one @beautychicks)
#kenya

So here we goes on number 2.
The whole ideas stems from the need to have more activities within the teams not only on the diary game activity but across the whole site which could even result to a massive rach out to other npon-steemians. What would happen if the teams were tasked with recruiting steemians from othe countreies that might not be represented here on steem? Say the recruits as well joins as teams as opposed to individuals?

Not sure if you got that long imagination thread, but let me break id down the wrong way, kidding.

Team-passion from a country A recruits 5 people from country B and mentors them to be that needed team and participate in all activities here as a team along individual blogging. You might argues that steem already has a huge member number and hence no such big need to have more non-represented countries but you are wrong. The crypto masss-adoption will not be powered by a huge following from one region but rather massively distributed membership.

Another pre-mature end of thoughts here.

I have some tasks with a team we developing on SGD, the BuildForSDG initiative with Facebook so if you'd let me wind up here by saying that, steem has a far much huge potential and this will not be achieved if we let steemit team come up with ideas alone, they need our many self-organised contests and many more buzzing activities.

To me, steem means an endless loop of possibilities that will eventually be the leader on crypto mass adoption that's aligned with free speech.

Till next post, it was a pleasure.
