Where did they go - we had some super African Writers here on steemit.steemCreated with Sketch.

I don't have a story, at least not mine and certainly not about me. I just want to talk a thing or two about a few of the finest african brains we had here in steemit back in the days before dramas took over.

Yohan @yohan2on an Ugandan who wrote nicely and was much involved with charity events and an avid tennis player, disappeared, from here not from the earth.

Elsiekjay @elsiekjay a Kenyan vlogger I'd say who'd write so well that you had to wish being her travel partner. If not posting from a classy hotel along the beach, she's deep in the waters flying the Steemit flag high in the air.

A fine girl who did well in here and we can all agree from her posts that she was a fine photograper.

Beauty chicks @beautychicks at one time held the role of steemit african promoter, I made up that name but it's what she did both in here to new entrants and in the ground.

Mobilised new users to do top-notch posts, held the voting keys for an account that was by then crafted to upvote new content among many other roles.

So where exactly did they go and who filled their gaps?

Am talking of 6-8 years or so back then.

## Happy reading, see you around if you looking to warm up your morning with some crypto/blockchain content specially on:

***1. who got hacked/drained

  1. what bug went uncaught in their code?
  2. is it just another fork getting drained
  3. where to save your keys, just not in your devices

See you around, missed you my reader.

Welcome back to SteemIt. There appears to be a four year gap in your posts.

Sadly, there was s split in the SteemIT community. Many of the people who were using Steem are now using something called hive.

Here is your HIVE account. Your STEEM keys work on HIVE ... until you change them.

https://hive.blog/@murathe

There is a fork of SteemIt Called BLURT. You have an account on that platform as well. Blurt charges users per transaction. You need to have 5000 BLURT before your upvote is worth more than the fee. You really need 10,000 BLURT (about $20).

There are numerous African bloggers on HIVE and a few on BLURT. The names you mentioned did not appear to be active.

Thank you for the welcome.

Back then before the split, those users really had a say and were very active and supportive in here.

Will for sure check out the current writers.
