THE DIARY GAME : 16TH AUGUST, 2020 : HOW MY SUNDAY WENTsteemCreated with Sketch.

A glance at the morning sun

Sundays are mostly for relaxation. So what I normally do is, I finish all my heavy weekend work on Saturdays. That is, finish my reports and do all the cleeanups if I have any. Otherwise I have to worry about the stress and take it with me through my Sunday which would be terrible.

I woke up at 5 a.m. Too early for a Sunday so I slept back after I said my fajr. I then officially woke back up around 8 a.m. I did not go for a run today neither did I do any workouts on my 'Home Workout' app. Just a stress free day.

Some tea with bread and egg

For my breakfast, I had some tea and bread with egg. I normally pick a book to read but of late I'm discovering communities on steemit which offer such word piece.

Enjoyed some cool breeze under this tree

I therefore read a few pieces on steemit whiles enjoying some fresh air beneath our coconut tree within our yard at home.

Bought some akyeke from this woman.

Cost: 7 cedis/ 1.2 usd/ 5.95 steem

In the afternoon, I encountered some 'akyeke' whiles walking along the road. I love this food so much that I buy some each time I encounter it. It cost me 7 cedis which is about 1.2 usd and 5.95 steem. It's a quick meal to take and a very delightful one indeed. I then walked back home and took a nap.

In the evening, I tuned into tv3 to watch 'Ghana's Most Beautiful'. It's a show where ghanaian ladies represent their regions and educate the country about what their region has to offer. It's not entirely nerdy and boring as there is also modeling and drama by some of the contestants.

Watching Maali in Ghana's Most Beautiful

It's really packed with lots of interesting stuff. My favourite for tonight was Maali who presented with a hindi accent. She acted as a tourist from India who came and saw some beautiful things the upper west region of Ghana has to offer. I wasn't surprised when she won the star of the night as she was truly outstanding indeed.

This concludes my diary for today. Thank you for your attention.

I can spot some vibe of Africa supports Africa there, cross-learning other cultures from the comfort of your home.

akyeke looks more of Kenyan equivalent of ....eeer...eeee. can't immediately place the exact name of similar product. Super strategy there of working yourself out on a Sunday for the sake of having a free Sunday.

I wouldn't be surprised if akyeke was in Kenya as well. As a matter of fact I think it's from Cote D'ivoire and it's made from grounded cassava known as gari. It's truly an international diet and awesome indeed.

Tea with eggs and bread is a perfect combination and yes Monday is generally a rest day for us . Moreover I haven't watched Mali Ghana but it seems great from the picture above. And great to see the woman taking preventive measures.
Happy Steeming!

.

The thing is recently, no one will buy your food if you fail to take these measures. Prople are really keen about their health these days which is truly a good thing 😃

I like your photos, so colorful, so nice! Palm tree is like near me, really felt so)

I don't like the beauty competitions, to tell the truth, because all people are beautiful and unique, how can it be judged)

I agree with you. The term "most beautiful" is just not right. The actual program is not a beauty contest, I just think the name should be changed.

I'm glad you liked the pics 😃
