Today is the busiest day of the week here in Ghana. Workers of various institutions, market women and basically anyone who is into a business venture of sorts, strives to get to the workplace today. This is increases tension in town everywhere and immensely exerts pressure on commercial vehicles. As such, I don't plan my town visits on this day unless it's absolutely necessary.
Knowing very well the situation at hand, I didn't go anywhere today. I sat the day out. I was keenly following the updates on the reopening of out universities. It seems there is a bit of a dilemma here. The president has not released any official statement yet but many are those speculating about our reopening. Some schools such as the university of education have set September 18th as their reopening date. Now its a matter of the president announcing the official fate for schools to resume.
I was inside the house for quite a while and had no plans to leave just like I wanted. They said be careful of what you wish for. I later realised I had to go and take my younger brother's bed frame which I left in the care of a carpenter. I got out to the front door and realised it was raining heavily. It hadn't rained for quite a while and so I was a little surprised when I met such a heavy rain.
I was feeling a bit hungry so I decided to make myself some rice. There was some stew in the kitchen my mom made last night. I decided to also fry some eggs to accompany my meal.
I later enjoyed an indian movie on my laptop titled Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. It came early this year and I saw some pretty good reviews on it online. I have to say I was very glad to have watched it. It was so full of emotions. I know some of the effects bollyhood applies to their movies are sometimes exaggerated but that doesn't matter to me. The storyline was so powerful and got me to the core. And that's what really matter to me in a movie.
This concludes my diary for today. Thank you for your attention.
