THE DIARY GAME : DATE 16-09-2020 Stepping out of my comfort zone

Hello diary,

Believe it or not, mornings don’t have to be a drudgery at all. In fact, mornings should be the most exciting part of your day – the sun has just broke the horizon, the house is quietly stirring and you have a 15, 16 hour adventure ahead of you! Even if you’re dreading what’s to come for the day, there are many things you can do to spice up your morning and kick off the day on a high note.

Getting up at 4.30 AM is actually not that hard. Everyone is a bit different, but the body generally needs 7 to 9 hours of sleep. The way to know if you are getting enough sleep is to wake up without an alarm. Immediately after getting up, I drink 16 oz of water—no coffee! I have not had a coffee for about 3 days now, and I don’t miss it much. In fact, I feel better without it.
I meditate for 30 minutes every morning. It’s best to meditate just before you start your day. If you want a good book on meditation, I recommend Meditation for Dummies. Despite its name, it’s one of the best books I have read.

Then when i finally step out of my room, i brushed my teeth, had a shower, got dressed and prepare for work.

going to work

For the pass 2 days, (monday and tuesday) i have not been able to go to work because of the political crises and today was wednesday, i couldnt just bear it staying at home.So i decided to step out of my comfort zone today, defying all odds and went to work. No vechiles nor motor bikes where moving, so i had to trek from house to the office. But before going to the office, i did some phone calls to find out if the office was opened because everywhere was lucked up. My boss told me the office is closed but they are inside working. So i just had to go to the office because if i stay at home, i won't do anything solid because of distractions from everyone around me. I might even be tempted to go visiting some family members since everyone would be at home.

By 9am, i was in the office, after trekking for one hour. Then it was To Do List time. I check my emails, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc., and assigned tasks.

at the office

After i was done, secondly, i turn off all communications - phone, email, chat, etc. i wouldn't want any distractions. i already gave a handful of people a way to reach me if something is really urgent. The people who might have a reason to contact me in an emergency know how to do it, and I have yet to have anyone use it.

After sitting infront of my laptop for 3hrs working, light went off(By 12pm). I was so frustrating, not completing all task for the day and even thou there was a generator, we couldn't put it on to work because i think we were the only people working indoors around that area and we wouldn't wanna get peoples attention to us.

By 1 pm, i laptop went off, the battery is not that good, so after that i went back home.

Staying at home could be indeed boring and a distraction sometimes, so it is perhaps good you went however it is safe just yet? Do consider safety above all else for now considering the recent events. Thanks for sharing your dairy with us and have a nice time
