THE 1000 DAYS OF STEEM; 14/07/2020. TEAMG-NIGERIA IS LIVE AND KICKING, INTRODUCING OUR OFFICIAL ACCOUNT

We are so excited to announce the birth of this team for the second phase of #thediarygame, kicking off by August 1st, 2020.

Putting our heads together was fun, because we got to share a lot of ideas on the operation and activities of team members, both as a team and as individuals in the steem ecosystem. It’s important to note that, as team members we are working collectively to grow the steem world and individually to grow our five-member team.

As stated in the announcement of the team formation by @greatness96 HERE, it’s worthy of emphasis, that the teamg-nigeria has set of goals, which are strictly in line with the vision of @steemitblog and the steemit team: Recruitment, Retention and Rewards. Please refer to the cited announcement post for more details.

Before going into the goals to grow steem, what is our vision for #thediarygame for which the team was formed?

We want to recruit more people into the game, as a way of making the game more exciting and the steem blockchain more engaging. This will be achieved by visiting people’s blog under hatch tags other than #thediarygame. This idea was put forward by @greatness96, who missed a lot of days in the just concluded phase 1 of #thediarygame, simply because he was not informed, though he was still active on steem. To what benefit? you may ask. For the benefit of making the game more exciting and competitive for people to bring out their best in writing.

Now our Goals to Grow Steem

Recruitment

On this, we hope to task each member of the team with the responsibility of bringing at least one person to steem each week. We keep it at one person minimum for the purpose of ensuring that whoever get signed up will stay. We understand that signing up a person to steem is much easier than making them stay in the platform. Thus, our goal is to have active steemians, not just plenty sign ups.

Retention
We hope to open a group on whatsapp or telegram, where we will be hosting webinars for new recruits. The idea is to guide and encourage them to keep steeming. That way, they will not feel left alone, thus discouraged from blogging in here. This idea was put forward by @senicbliss, who through her experience, would have stopped if not continuous guide and encouragement by @greatness96 even when her diary game posts were not curated by @steemcurator01. According to her, she needed that encouragement dearly.

Reward

On reward, @thompsonenang asked us to brainstorm on how to reward new recruits to steem and #thediarygame. @stephen96 pointed out that support from @steemcurator01 is okay, but we need to grow @teamg-nigeria account to be able to give tangible vote to great contents by members in particular and the steem world at large. It’s worthy of note that the idea was seconded by @princesstj and the entire team members.

Every member of the team has full access to the account login details. This account will be used for weekly update of the activities of the team members. The activities will cover:

Diary game posts of team members and the best, selected by vote by the team
New recruits and team members that brought them, featuring the links to their introduction posts
Things done to ensure retention of the new recruits and how successful it was, including the setbacks and way forward
Efforts in ensuring rewards for team members and new recruits
Training done for new recruits and results
