By 5 am, I was out of my bed; I used 2 hours to pray to my God. At 7 am, I went back to my bed to take a simple rest of 30 minutes because it was too cold outside due to the heavy rains this early morning that started at 6:30 am -8:30 am.
I have been occupied with plenty of housework today. I mopped the house, washed dishes, and clean up all the shoes. This was so exhausting.
Shoes lined up for cleaning
I then had my breakfast. It was a delicious one. My friend prepared it for me. Guess what it was? Pancakes and a cup of milk; the pancakes were so uniquely prepared I had never tasted these kinds before. What were the ingredients? Wheat, eggs, milk, spiced with sugar, salt, green paper, onions.

It’s a rainy season in Uganda. This is a season of Grasshoppers. Masaka region is well known for grasshopper harvesting. Kyazanga was formerly part of Masaka district but it was cut off and it became a separate region from Masaka. In the month of November and early December, people are always eager to consume some edible insects called grasshoppers. These are very yummy insects when well fried and spiced with onions and tomatoes. They can also be used as sauce of any food. You will surely want to taste when you come to Uganda.

Some bad news landed in my ears. One of my neighbors has been mistreating her young maid. She beating her up, pinching her almost every day. The maid got bruises on some of her body parts showcasing the brutality she has been faced with for quite some time. It’s so annoying and disappointing to discover that a very tender looking lady who is even a medical personnel doing such an inhuman act.
Some people in this world can mean to be so mean. Anyway, one of my other neighbors reported the incident to the police. One of the policemen came and had a talk with the maid and took photos of her bruised body parts as evidence for the reported case.

it was my first time to taste these kinds of pancakes. I will also one day taste those with banana ingredients plus baking flour.
The Grasshoppers are still few and very expensive this side because the rains and wind are still too much.

What a busy day for you @yohan2on, while rain hardly fall for 30 min here in Lagos, Nigeria, (due to raining rounding up). I wish I could be in Uganda one day to feel the cooling atmosphere, on a good day though. I'm sincerely happy to meet you here on STEEM.
