"Steem Cameroon Best day Contest - 26/1/25"

Greetings and welcome to my blog. Am elated to be a part of this beautiful best day contest.

Well within the duration given to us to express ourselves, I had a best day and that day was the 14th of december 2024. Why? Well I will answer this with a question?

What did you hear about weddings? Now you know. I love weddings, plenty smiles, good clothes, Food and drinks all around. So it was for this beautiful day when I attended a friend’s wedding.

The day started feverishly as we prepared for the grand occasion. I must let you know that I slept very late and woke up early because we were told that the wedding was for 9am.

We were excited and wants to the good citizens, no African time. We got to the wedding as early as past nine to meet an empty hall. Well it may interest you to know that we waited two extra hours for the couple to get to the wedding venue.

While we were waiting, the decorators were adding a finishing touch to the decorations for the hall. The hall wasn’t that big but it was sizeable for a small wedding.

Anyways since I didn’t have a good night sleep, it was time to nap away the delay. I slept in at a corner after arranging some chairs to put my beautiful head on. My colleague came to wake me up at past 11am that the couple have arrived.

Long story short after so much running around, the wedding started by past 12pm. It was first the church joining and I must say that the couples were looking beautiful. Both the church joining and reception happened in the same hall.

The bride and groom were full of beautiful smiles and the joining was very short because we have already wasted so much time. The happy couple in the presence of their friends and well wishes were joined in holy matrimony and prayed for.

The sermon came in briefly admonishing them to love and respect one another. It was a beautiful sight to behold.

Soonest they signed their wedding register and filed out for the photo session. The photo session was ongoing when we had to leave . We couldn’t wait for the reception cos we had other plans for the day.

Well we left an hour later but not without our own share of foods and drinks. What’s a wedding without food and drinks.

It was my best day because it’s a wedding day. Weddings are beautiful times of union and celebration of love. Love is a beautiful thing and it’s worth celebrating.
