During Ramadan, I don’t get proper sleep at night. So, I sleep after having Sehri and performing the Fajr prayer. Today was no exception. Since it’s Ramadan, I naturally wake up late. Anyway, after waking up, I freshen up, complete some household chores, and then take a quick shower. It’s scorching hot outside, and the temperature is quite high. But there’s no point in complaining when you have important tasks to do. I had to go out for some personal work and a bit of shopping.

After taking a shower, I quickly got ready. Then, after organizing the necessary items, my husband and I went downstairs. We waited for a rickshaw, and soon we found one. After that, we changed from a rickshaw to an auto-rickshaw at Pathantoli. First, we had to go to Tularam College and then complete some other tasks. However, we got stuck in heavy traffic at Chashara Shaheed Minar.

There was a lot of traffic today. After being stuck in the traffic jam for quite some time, we got off the auto-rickshaw and walked a bit to bypass the jam.

Then, we took another rickshaw toward Tularam College. Although the distance from Shaheed Minar to the college is short, the excessive traffic led to a higher rickshaw fare. Anyway, after a while, we finally reached Tularam College. We went to a photocopy shop and scanned some necessary documents.

After scanning the papers, we entered the college premises through the main gate. We waited for a while and spoke to the guard. However, we couldn’t complete the task we came for because the department’s professor was not present. So, we left the college and waited for an auto-rickshaw. Our next destination was Kalibazar.

Upon reaching Kalibazar, we got off the rickshaw and started walking forward. But the situation was the same here—heavy traffic. I thought the traffic might be lighter around noon, but I was wrong. Even at noon, there was a massive jam. There were many roadside shops selling children's clothes. You can find almost anything here. Narayanganj has some great clothes available on footpaths.

After walking a little, we went to a familiar shop. I tried to choose a party frock for my niece. Without wasting much time, we quickly finalized a price and bought the frock. Then, we purchased a pair of jeans and a shirt for my nephew.

Next, we went to a bag store. From there, I bought two school bags for kids. After selecting a few, we finally purchased two bags—one with a butterfly design and the other with a cartoon design. One was for my niece, and the other for my nephew. These 3D-style bags looked beautiful. The store had bags of different styles and qualities for people of all ages.

Then, we headed to our favorite three-piece store. On the way, we saw a stall selling a lot of strawberries, but they didn’t look very fresh, so we didn’t buy any. When we reached the three-piece store, we looked at a few options but didn’t find anything we liked, so we didn’t purchase anything today. Next, we went to our favorite saree store. After browsing through several sarees, I bought one for my mother. Finally, we stopped by a shop to buy a small pack of naphthalene before heading home.

^{Even after roaming around in this heat and traffic while fasting and doing some light shopping, I feel a certain kind of joy. The reason is that I was able to buy a few things for my two favorite kids at home and my mother. Throughout this entire journey, my husband accompanied me. Alhamdulillah! Whenever I have my husband's company in any of my tasks, it truly brings me happiness.}
