My Diary || 12/02/2025 || "My Village Stream I So Much Long Before College Break"

INTRODUCTION I wouldn't want to debate between village life and township life which one is better cause both hold their advantages and disadvantages. In this scenario of mine, I will keep you guided on my village life style and why I get to long for it before my college break. It has been along semester and a stressful one considering early hour classes through the week and multiple continuous assessment, my final year project to cover up for and the exams I burned out my night hours for preparing to pass my courses and avoid any form of exam misconduct - All sum up should give you a clear picture of how tedious it has all been and why I long to cool my self in my village stream.

My village Stream

My village stream is a few miles away from my home in my village. I live directly opposite to the track that leads to the stream. The closeness in distance has given me leverage to beat my lazy feeling on a long walk to the stream which most time is a key factor to those living far from the stream.

My Childhood Memories And My village Stream

I don't hold much memories to my village has I travelled to schooled in the city at age 7. I will use the few memories that stayed back to testify has to why I long for this stream while in college waiting for holiday 😊. To start with, I didn't know how to swim before leaving for the city but I have had experience with how other kids do swim and the memory has been keeping me curious has to when it will be me swimming has they do. The imagination fuel my aggressiveness to want to feel among. And the mentality of feeling among as a swimmer almost got me drown in a stream with depth of 8ft. I had this experience when I had returned to the village 2019, I was all grown but couldn't swim. I have followed my cousin to the stream on a very good day though I drop my pride and informed him of my incapability and he assured to watch out for me when I am in the water. Long story short... I do still remember a push on my back inside the water which push me to the water surface.

Learning To Swim

Has I escaped drowning, fear get me scared but my determination to be a swimmer overshadowed my fear. I made it back to the stream one day and decided to study how this children swim. I didn't pay much attention to the adult but the kids in the stream as I knew it would be much easier to learn from them despite the die-hard laugh I got from them. A kid will be calling on another kid and be like, "Look, that uncle don't know how to swim, with laugh o" I knew, those laugh were my medication to learn quick. Trust me when I say, I actually learned the craft within two weeks. Though my experience as a kid played basic role for me to learn quick.

Swimming Now My Hobby

I couldn't stay back home after I learned and master swimming 😆 . As I had surprised my village people by learning and knowing how to Swim. I wanted to swim the water dry in the stream 🤣 I couldn't hold back this new skill of mine...

Leaving For College Degree

I move to college after my admission into the university. My year one was of ups and downs couple with the fact, that I am a newbie who hasn't master how the academic system work in the higher institution. But I had find myself a cooling system after long stay in school. My village stream become a spot and my swimming hobby become my escape route to refresh my and regain my energy. I mean, many of great percentage will want to swim in natural water body than swimming pool🤔.
Long story short.
My village stream is located inside Tropical forest which made it a perfect spot to cool yourself and with few of wild animal such as python, Monkey, chimpanzee and colorful birds to see. While this animals mention are rare to see exception to the monkeys and birds but the rest exist there. It is a fun place to go and relax.

My Current Holiday

I rush back home ( my hometown) after my last exam. Just to fill in what I long for during my exam. I set out to the stream today and it has all been fun cause I can now swim and the serenity of the tropical rainforest is a testament to why you should be there😊

Male and Female Stream

In my village, the female don't swim in the male stream but it is funny to tell you that the male can go and swim in the female stream 😤 But pls🙏 let's not go there cause I know you will want to know more... That's just how things run here.
