Diary Game of 08/08/2024: Seeing My Mom Off

As the sun rises after the rain falls so the same goes when someone visits you, they have to leave when they are done... My mom came by to visit and she had to leave when what she came to do was done.

How my day went

After a tough night and hearing rumors of death of some police men, we woke up on Thursday morning to confirm that the rumors were true. 2 police men were shot dead on Wednesday evening while guarding a bank, they were said to be shot by some unidentified armed men.

Even though the day started with bad news and sadness it doesn't mean we'll go through the whole day feeling that way, my mom and I had to visit the morgue to collect the mortal remains of my Grand Uncle before taking it to the village but she wasn't going with them to the village.

She went to the morgue at 11am and they were able to get the remains and following the funeral program they left to bury the body at 12pm hoping to get to the village in the evening for the burial. Once they kicked off for the village my mom came back and we went to visit my older cousin at Upstation right after she had paid her bus tickets.

Once the tickets were paid for at 35 STEEM we took a taxi to Upstation paying 8 STEEM for the fair from where we were. We got there and saw that everyone was fine, the kids were playing and having fun, we had a meal which was Porridge Irish potatoes and Malta.

My mom was given Irish and oil for the trip and she was really grateful, at 4pm we were already coming back down to the park to take the bus leaving for the southwest region, to come down we spent another 8 STEEM. It turns out we were very early because our bus hadn't come yet. So we waited.

_{Finally it came}

The bus came after we had waited for the past 1 hours 30 minutes so I had to park the luggage inside the bus, fighting through all the commotion I was able to put in the luggage and my Mom went inside and grabbed their seats, 10 minutes later the bus kicked off and I wished them a safe trip.

It was 6pm and I went home to rest, I was tired from all the movements and carrying things, 2 hours later I fell asleep and that was the end of it.
