What do you know about the day?
The international day of Radiology is an anniversary of the day x-rays were discovered, this marked a great improvement in the health sector and up till this date the science of Radiology has saved so many lives.
The day was November 8, 1895 when the German scientist Wilhelm Conrad Rontgen made the awesome discovery and this made the revolutionary change in the medical field which we all benefit from today.
The day was officially coined in 2011 after a group of associations decided on it.
How do you or your country or your organization celebrate the day?
There are a few ways to celebrate this day either as an individual or an organization.

As an organization, you can call for seminars, gathering up Radiologists and sharing ideas about radiology, bringing out problems faced and suggesting solutions to these problems,

As an individual, you can attend seminars around you, learn the basics of Radiology and build your field of knowledge.
You can also meet with Doctors of radiology.and make use of these meetings by posing the right questions, this will build your network and bring you greater advantage on terms of knowledge.
What impact does your community gain during and after the commemoration?
It is obvious either as an organization or an individual that you can get a lot of benefits from commemorating this day let's first say that as an Organization, you can gather funds to get radiology machines and as an individual you get knowledge of Radiology and the know how of x-rays system.
The government gains funds for building getting radiology machines especially from international Non Governmental Organization.
What issue or concern will you recommend being commemorated this week and on what date?
