HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME 🥳🥳.................18/05/23

Today Thursday 18th of May, i clocked 19!!!
I have been anticipating this day since February 🤭. I woke up around 3:00 am because i couldn't sleep anymore, i made my prayer, thanking God for giving another year to make it right and also putting him in front of my new age.
I had already initially planned to bake myself a cake and just share with my neighbors. I looked up this coconut cake recipe on Google and started. I was really scared when i started because this recipe could go completely wrong and my birthday will be ruined. Nonetheless, i followed the steps keenly and I breathe a sigh of relief only when the cake came out of the oven in a near perfect piece. The next thing was tye frosting. I had never iced a cake before so when i started mixing the ingredients and the consistency seemed poor, my heart started throbbing sadly. I continued mixing till i got the consistency i always see my oldest sister have; i was glad!!!!
The next step was applying the cream on the cake and also trimming the cake. Trimming the cake wasn't as hard as i thought it would be, but icing the cake was quite technical. But being the excited birthday girl, i took my time and patiently iced the cake till it was perfect to me. When everything was done and dusted, i almost shed tears of pride. The whole process just made me realize how talented and creative i am; i was so proud that i couldn't wait for my neighbors to taste it and tell me it is

I later had my bath put on some casual clothes and my friends treated me to lunch. We had fried rice, some wine and shared the cake. Then we separated and i went back home where i started receiving video calls from my loved ones in different cities. I was indeed made special 🙂, i didn't get any gifts but it really didn't matter to me ( i wasn't expecting any by the way 🤭).
After the calls, i lied lazily on the bed till i fell asleep.
