A Recap of My Week in Pictures and Writing.

Steem greetings from the motherland-Cameroon to all friends on the Steemit blockchain and welcome to my blog. It has been a hectic week as I was actively involved in preparations for my brother’s funeral program.

Before his demise, he had bought a plot in the southwest region of Cameroon and instructed his wife that when he died, he should be buried at the plot. No one knows what his intentions were but all I know is that he might have suspected a fault play and his grave will be there to protect the plot from any defaulters from selling the plot.

We had a family meeting online on the 23rd and a budget for the funeral was proposed. Some of the family members were against the budget and the meeting was adjourned. The next day we continued with the meeting and settled everything. Tasks were shared among each and everyone.

On the 25th, it was Ashuabi day, we had to make arrangements for the Ashuabi and also arrange who to sew them. We decided to sew black while using the loin to tie it over our waist.

We are also organizing a soccer game between his former inter-quieter football teams. This game will hold on the wake-keep service day which is on the 10th of October,2024.

On the 27th of September, I had to make arrangements for accommodation for myself and my two elder sisters. I did a lot of work by searching for a guesthouse around the funeral venue and I was asked to pay 20% of the fee for the reservation.

I took Saturday as an off day to cool off and rest because I was feeling nerves issue due to stress. I slept almost the whole day and also because we had unannounced blackouts. I had a discussion with my team 1 member of the October community curators. We agreed on a work schedule and we are more than ready to start in October.

On the 29th, of September 2024, we continued with funeral preparations. We hope to give him his last respect without any obstructions.

Also, I had to buy some items for my kids’s school lunch box since Monday and Tuesday will be observed as lockdown. I bought a tray of eggs and a packet of dolait yoghurt.

The evening hours of the day were used to eating tiger nuts and dates while relaxing and chatting with my husband.

I concluded the week by watching the premiere league games between Manchester United Vs Tottenham and the La Liga game between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.

My dear friends, it was indeed a hectic week for me with lots of commitments but I thank God all went well. I will be travelling for the funeral and your prayers for the family are more than welcome 🙏.
