#club100 // The Diary Game 3 : BetterLife with Steem (31/08/2022)

Greetings to everyone on this this platform, it’s a new month, with new energy and I hope the challenges we faced in August will not be carried over to the new month. Today I will be writing my diary of 31/08/2022, the last day of the month.

Month ends are always used for office reporting. This day, I had to compile office reports of activities for the month. I wake up from bed at 7:00 am because I slept late the previous night reviewing engagement entries in steem-cameroon community.

When I wake up from bed, I went outdoor and realised that the weather was so bright. Sun was already shining and I had to prepare breakfast for my husband to eat before leaving to work. I went to a nearby bakery and bought French bread 🥖. Came back home heated water for the tea and I made avocado salad (mixture of avocado, mayonnaise, tomatoes and onions). My husband loves the avocado salad but for me it is a go no area🫣🫣.

When my husband was eating, I had to switch on my laptop to compile my monthly report. It took me about 3 hours to complete it and I went to the bath and took my bath. I decided to visit some inactive steemians and had a chat with them. This was during the afternoon period and the weather was good.

I went to the roadside to take a cab to their direction. I had informed them I am coming and so it wasn’t a surprise meet-up. I wasted time at the roadside because most cars passing were not going towards my direction. I asked one driver what was their reason not to go towards that direction and he said there is a police checkpoint there that they only want to collect money and do not border to check if your car has all necessary documents.

My first meet-up was with @diangold. Last time I had a chat with her on WhatsApp and she promised to be back on steemit. But later on did not, so I thought a physical meet up with her was better. When I met her, she explained what made her inactive which I will not explain here for privacy reasons. After our discussions, she again promised robe back because the challenges she was facing are no more.

After our discussion, she took me out for lunch. We went to a restaurant around her place to eat lunch. I took achu with yellow soup. It’s been long I ate this special delicacy because my husband does not like it even though it’s my traditional meal.

After eating, it was seriously rainy and I was feeling cold 🥶. However I had to meet another inactive steemian @fenwilinda. She equally explained what made her to be inactive and I encouraged her to come back let’s steemon. She promised to be back fully and I’m awaiting their comeback.

The rain subsided a bit and I decided to return back home at about 4:30pm. I took a taxi together with @fenwilinda since we both were going towards the same direction. The traffic on the road was something else and I was wondering what caused the traffic. We were told the road is not passing due to heavy downpour that caused a small stream to flood and blocked the road. Vehicles were unable to move cross this part of the road. All vehicles were stocked on one spot.

We stood there for a while and the taxi driver decided to drop us and returned back home. The Rapid Intervention Battalion with French acronym (BIR) were present at the scene in case of any misfortune. After a while bikes could managed to pass inside the water and some heavy men carrying people on their backs to the other side. It was a funny and risky scenario I have never experienced before.

When we finally crossed to the other side, I took a bike home. When I arrived home, I prepared cocoyams with vegetables as dinner.

After eating, I had to login to steemit using the steemcurator09 account to curate. Later one, I filled the google sheet online, then log into my account to review engagement entries in steem-cameroon. I was feeling dizzy at about 11:30pm and I called it a day. Until my next diary, happy new month.
