Background of the Contest.

Emergency, they say can happen at any time. Whether during natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, road accidents, or terrorist attacks. One will never know what could happen in the next minute. Hospitals just can’t rely on any crystal board to know when an emergency case will pop up. But the next best thing is to be prepared to manage different scenarios. Especially with cases of mass casualties seeking urgent medical attention.

What it takes to humanize health care delivery in countries in cases of emergency when it comes to depositing before treatment is a call for concern.

In Cameroon for instance in some private hospitals without money, your critical patient might end up dying. However, some hospitals especially government hospitals take treatment before payment but in some cases where the patient is unable to pay the bills, the patient is kept for days waiting for the caregiver to pay the bills.

Situations might be different in other countries. But sharing your ideas in this contest one never knows might help in healthcare policy recommendations.
