The Diary Game [05/01/2025] // A Day with Positive Results.

Happy New Year 🎆 🎊 to all my awesome friends in the Steemit ecosystem. It's another day for me to share my lifestyle content with you all. It's the 5th day of January 2025, a month many believe that it is one of the toughest months. Notwithstanding, as Christians, we are always optimistic and I'm not indifferent.

The day started smoothly as I started my second day of curation with the SC05 account. I searched from blog to blog and community to community to support authors abiding by the rules. I usually do curation in two phases. That is the morning session and the evening session to give a chance to diverse authors to drop quality content.

Then I headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast for the family. I had programmed to prepare pancakes. I do not have any particular recipe for the pancakes but I ensure that it is rich and delicious. I am always generous with milk and eggs in my pancake to make it soft and fluffy.

I ensured I fed my kids and also gave them some yoghurt to drink. I engaged in cleaning the house thoroughly due to over-busy weekdays for me and the harmattan dust was just everywhere in the house. When I was done with the cleaning, I bathed my kids and dressed them up.

We had a family meeting online to discuss a family business for investments. It was a great initiative brought up by my sister and everyone appreciated the initiative and each of us was levied to pay the first shares by June 2026. It was a long-term investment plan to benefit our entire generation.

I decided to go to the roadside food vendors to buy huckleberry to prepare fufu the next day which is lockdown day imposed by separatists fighters. I could not get a taxi and was not willing to take a bike due to the harmattan dust. We will continue with the harmattan dust till Early March.

I trekked for about 5 minutes to the roadside vendors and was lucky to get fresh huckleberry just returning from the farm. I was lucky that the lady considered me as one of her old customers and put a better quantity at a cheaper price. Normally, this is not a season for huckleberry and its usually expensive.

It was Sunday evening and this street used to witness heavy traffic jams due to the presence of inter-bus agencies with passengers moving in and out of the town.

Before leaving the house, my kids requested for shawarma and I passed by a restaurant to order some for them. I used the opportunity to also relax. I placed an order for 2 Sharwama and took it and returned back home.

While trekking back home since it was a short distance, I came across a corn vendor and I bought fresh boiled corn. When I arrived home, I removed the huckleberry from the bag and put in an open basket to avoid it getting bad due to over heat. Then I also enjoyed my boiled corn.

After eating my corn, I relaxed for a while before continuing with the second phase of curation. I completed curation while watching the Liverpool against Manchester United game. It was an interesting game as we thought Manchester United would not be able to withstand the pressure from Liverpool. United surprised us with a good performance today.

My day started well and ended well and I hope 2025 will be one of my best years ever. Until my next diary, it is goodnight from my end.
