Steem greetings @everyone from the motherland-Cameroon and welcome to my blog as I share my lifestyle content with you all. It is the weekend guys and that moment of the week that we all wish to witness after hectic work days within the week.

Early morning face 🤨.

I often used my weekends to either shop for groceries or other household utensils. This weekend was kind of different because we were preparing for end of year thanksgiving ceremony in the village where my old parents are based. It has been a tradition for us for over 4 years now that we organised Thanksgiving back in the village. It is a 5 years plan and we used the opportunity to develop one or two facilities within the church where my parents fellowship.

I had a discussion with my husband that early morning and we agreed that I go to the market to buy some stuffs for myself and buy some other items for my parents while he will prepare breakfast and feed the kids before leaving to work. I took a cab and dropped off at the main market gate on the commercial street.

When I entered the market, I noticed most shops were still locked because it was too early and also because it is January period where most people do not buy making it easier to move around the market without traffic jams or thieves moving around to grab from your wallet or bag.

Easy movements along the streets in the market with no traffic as compared to December month

I faced difficulties in paying most of the things I bought because I was not having enough cash on me and most of the sellers were not accepting transfers. I had to delay in the main market to buy some pots for my mom which she can use to cook larger quantities of food during functions in the compound.

After buying all the things I needed from the main market, I called my kid sister who was buying food items we will cook for the thanksgiving and we agreed to meet at a hairstylist shop. I had to give my wig for revamping while my kid sister styled her hair.

I stayed at the saloon till almost 3:00 PM and took a cab back home. I was so happy with the hairstylist as she did an amazing job. While at home, I quickly prepared our dinner, arranged everything and napped for almost 2 hours.

Then, I did some cleaning and washing of dirty dishes because I will leave the house early in the morning the next day to the village for the Thanksgiving ceremony. We will be using my sister’s car to ease our movement and until my next diary, it is a good night from my end.
