Hello fellow steemians and welcome to another edition of my diary game by me chegodrick. It is my first post of the year and I am so excited.
My day started at about 6:30am when I woke up, took my bath, ate my breakfast and left for the hospital. I am a student nurse studying at NPUI Bambui so during the holidays I decided to do a voluntary internship at District Hospital Ndop so as to add my experience.
I got to the hospital at 8am, cleaned my post for the week ( the theater) and had to wait for the 'Major' of the theater to come.
They came and the first duty of the day was wound cleaning, they had to clean the wounds or stiches on those operated and later on went to the removal of stiches for those who were due. They also so administered family planning.
At about 12pm, there was nothing to do so I had to sit around in case something shows up.
At about 3pm, a surgery case came in. A woman who was to be operated for appendectomy ( removal of the appendix) so we had to prepare her for surgery but I had no part to play except to observe but I was privilege to take some pictures.
This is a surgery that takes 3hours so after 2hours 30minutes, the appendix was detached and kept outside and they began to stich up the cut on the woman.
We finished at about 6:15pm, cleaned all forceps used and took her to the ward before closing.
I left the hospital at 7:10pm went home was so tired that I had to eat and rest.
Just waking up now to do some assignments I was given and decided to share my day with my steemit family..
