Good evening dear members of steemit around the globe. I bring you greetings from my motherland Nigeria and I hope you are doing good. I will be sharing with you all how I spent my day with mixed feelings. Stay tuned.
I woke up at 6:20am, prayed and went to the kitchen to prepare our food for the day. I made a pot of jollof rice and beans with locust beans and palm oil. A very delicious meal and packed in our food warmers. Went to bath and dress the baby, fed him and I went to shower and prepare also. Went to the clinic today and started work. A lot of counselling to do. In fact this world is full of challenges as in a lot of people are going through traumatic events happening in their life's to the extent that it drains one's mental health to zero. In all, I try to ensure my mental health is intact, counsel the clients to always take their medications at the right time and right dose.
At a point I got so weak from hearing traumatic things that are happening to people that I took an excuse to go refresh my head in one of the offices. I sat quite and calm because I needed to put myself together. It made me sad but again life isn't always fair and their are limits to what one can and cannot do. I will ensure I keep trying my best.
So I had my lunch and also fed my baby and rounded up for the day and got home at 3:30pm.
It was a sunny day so i had to take a cool shower, dressed and went to an event center for a fellow volunteers Walimat. This occasion made me happy compared to earlier today. It was a colorful full event and it's was for women alone, it made me so relaxed as I enjoyed the preaching from the Malama who was admonishing the bride to be.
We were served some snacks and drinks and it was getting late. I left at 6:20 pm before it gets too dark. Arrived home safely and quickly gave my baby a warm bath, ate my snacks for dinner, did the dishes and also had my bath. Was having headache so I took an analgesic and rested for a while before going to bed for the day. This was how I spent my day and that you for reading till my next blog. It's bye for now
