African Socialism

African socialism is the way of life practiced by Africans before they were exposed to the whites man's influence. It attempts to recapture and modernize the community way of life practiced by the Africans. Prior to westernization of traditional fabric and societies the Africans with deeply socialist in their custom roles and institutions.

The African is simply a man with others. These events works with Aristotle saying that "man is a social and political animal". For he does not live in isolation because he's not an island, he interacts with other human beings in the society the African man is born to socialize. That's is why here on the steem cameroon community, we may not know each other personally, but we socialize like one straight family. Importance of Socialism

• It is important for education African socialism seeks to concertize and educate Africans of the needs to rediscover their cultural values and identity that were rubbed by European cultures and political institutions.

• it helps the modern society whose intellectuals and technology advancement is more than good to the existing values. The present generation has much to learn from African traditional values such as celebrity I mean what is hospitality the respect for elders and the respect for life.

• it is indicative of originality of the African as being in the community with others it gives them in the spirit of Africanism.

• African socialism 6 to preserve the traditional values on the cultural Revival of the Africans. These values in present Africa are to be adopted or modernized in line with recent Scientific achievements in the world. The cry for African socialism has been positively defended by many African leaders and politicians but none of them had formulated any clear systematized doctrine on how to obtain it.

However, Julius Nyerere of Tanzania attempted to systematize African socialism. He called it Ujama'a for this according to him is the true path to African progress and prosperity.
