Hello, world! I am very happy to have you all as my friends and people whom I can share ideas with on different topics that would help our living. A very special thanks to the user @chant for the amazing contest topic which is; Non-communicable disease, (mental health depression). I will be aswering the questions given and also adding in areas where I need to add so, keep reading down friends.

Depression:simply means being stressed, tired, fed up, and burdened on a particular thing or so many things. Every day we have one problem or the order as far as life is concerned, most people look depressed because of their husband's treatment, so also maybe wives, children causing depression to parents and so many other factors.

What is your understanding of Non-Communicable Diseases?

Non-communicable diseases are diseases that are not transferable from one individividual to another rather, it is due to the health state of the body. The non-communicable disease kills and causes a lot of problems to the body system as a whole, it kills very slowly without the knowledge of such a victim, and sometimes it leads to hypertension which is very easy to kill. So, in summary, the non-communicable disease is the direct opposite of communicable diseases.

Have you or any close friends suffered from Depression? You might want to tell us what caused it.

Oh yes! I have experienced depression in my life and at that time, I was a very little girl of age 10. I stayed with my aunt from the age of 6 and unfortunately for me, she is very harsh and addicted to insulting words, sometimes, I try to be myself and not mind her insults but the truth is, I feel so worried, borthred, think, cry and I see no solution coming my way, then I started feeling so depressed, when I go to school, I hardly pay attention because my mind is never at rest.

Now, what caused it, was a result of staying off my parents, If I were staying with my parents it wouldn't have been this bad. You know, sincerely, I feel so much for orphans who have no mother and father, like in my case, I ran back to my parents at age 12 because I could not stand it anymore.

How did you manage the situation?

It was never easy for me at all, the only way I manage it was to copy my mum's phone number from my aunt's phone and call her using a friend's phone. I told her everything, and my mother never believed it until the day she came and immediately she arrived at my aunt's house, I was serving a very hard punishment of kneeling on the gravel, and my aunt and her children were watching a movie in the pallow.

That was how my mother took me back home without a word for her sister and I managed to escape the situation else I would have been having different sicknesses as a result of the depression.

Any specialist or health care center to care for those suffering from depression in your country.

There are good hospitals in my country that could try to treat people who are suffering from depression, despite it is not always easy on both the health workers and the victims but they try to give out their own best to see the survival of the victims. There are specialists in the country and also specialized hospitals that are doing well, we have specialists in hospital Lafia, Lekki specialists hospital in Lagos and some others.

In case you meet someone suffering from Depression, what advice will you give to her or him?

My simple advice to a victim of depression will be that, he or she should see a doctor to be treated and given some medications that can even clear it off quickly to at least subsides the pain. It is a very chronic disease that can only be felt badly by the victim. Secondly, I will advise the victim to stay away for a while from home or that particular place that makes him or her more depressed, unlike my case.

Thank you all for reading through my post, at this point, I invite @josepha @ishayachris, and @okere-blessing to show their participation. Thanks and I love you all...
