Hello guys, hope we all doing great. I head a wonderful day today which I will be sharing with you .
Since the ministry of health launched the campaign to fight against polio in children 0-5yrs , this week has been so stressful to me .
In this campaign we had to vaccinate children 0-5years with the polio vaccine, vitamin A and gave Albendazole .
Polio vaccine which help fortify the immune system against poliomyelitis
Vitamin A which help keep the skin in good health, helps in vision and also help in fighting again infections
Albendazole it an anti worm medication.
You can also get this vitamin from natural products like milk, eggs, liver,oily fish etc
Today I got up from bed , had a bath was set for work, leave the house to the hospital, had to arrange some few stuffs to use for this campaign our zone of work was the Bambui health area .First we had to target the 0-11months children which we set a small spot around one of the junctions had mother’s came get their kids vaccinated.
Later around 11am we moved to school where we gave health talks got the pre nursery , nursery and class one kids also vaccinated .
That was all of field work cameback started the paper work which was not that ease to write down report for the vaccination which team did theirs and was submitted .
It was closing time got home around 4pm had to do some few things around so I carried drinking water that took me like 20minutes .
Had a plate of corn Jaff with unpolished rice .
it was also a friend’s birthday we all gathered in his place chatted for some time
then went out for some drinks
came back home around 8pm was really tried had to rest
That’s how I spend my day
